We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Manager, Quality Assurance, Financial Crime (Vice President).

In this role, you will:

• Perform quality assurance review in accordance with relevant FCI policies and departmental procedures within established timeframes

• Produce reports containing quality assurance results and associated metrics using established procedures

• Maintain current knowledge of regulations applicable to the business, any business changes as well as pertinent internal regulatory policy and procedural changes

• Provide insight into quality gaps discovered as part of the quality assurance process and ensure these gaps are communicated to appropriate management and business owners

• Analyze information gathered to develop recommendations for improvement and changes in current policies

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with Investigators and other relevant Stakeholders

• Be able to work both independently and in team-oriented contexts

• Provide feedback and recommendations to management to contribute to improved quality and efficiency of area activities

• Adherence to the established operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies

• Ensure all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring and address any areas of concern in conjunction with operations management and/or the appropriate department

• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators

• Ensure costs are managed effectively and within the Team’s annual budget seeking appropriate authority for expenses in line with bank policy

• Generate ideas to improve team efficiency

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a public/private university preferably from Business background

• Significant experience within the local financial services industry

• Knowledge of Central Bank’s guidelines/circulars, internal control requirements

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

• Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues

• A professional qualification or background in relevant discipline.

As per BRPD circular no. 03/2023, Banking or Financial Institute staffs who have had a promotion after 08 February 2023 will fall under the purview of the new guidelines for the next level of promotion. Completion of the Banking Professional Exam (JAIBB & AIBB) will be necessary for any subsequent level of promotion.
